How to scare geese away


Introduction:

Geese are a plural word used for the bird kind of water bird Goose. This species of water birds belongs to the family of Anatidae. These birds are found in almost all regions around the globe. Geese are categorized further into three main kinds such as; black geese (Branta), White geese (Chen) and the grey geese (Anser). These birds are known for their adaption towards their gaggle (a group of geese), they fly together, they eat together they sleep together and it would be so irritating for you. As geese are grass, seeds or insect eaters, they would be found in large groups at any place where even one of them finds something related to their meal. They can cause a big destruction to your lawns or fields by eating its grass. Also, they can create a mess out of your peaceful lives by their feces and their loud noises. Like many other birds they are also stubborn and could give you a bounce back while trying to keep them away.

Following are some ways that could help you get rid of geese by scaring them away:



Produce blaring sound:

Many birds might away once you create some noise, but geese are not so easy to get rid of. In order to scare them away, you have to produce blaring or loud noises that actually gets them scared. This could be made possible by large speakers or some sort of drums or air horns. But while doing so, you have to be aware of them biting you because geese possess so aggressive nature that they can attack you.

Keeping the decoys of swan:

These aggressive birds usually have the ability to fight every other bird or even to attack the humans. But the swans are the ones that can compete with them. Geese are scared of swans, so keeping their decoys can help to keep the geese away. Further they may also be scared by decoys of owls.

Liquid deterrents:

Putting liquid deterrents such as birds repellent sprays or others could help to keep the geese away. As their ingredients will cause a problem for geese to stay at the place where they are applied due to which the geese will fly away and avoid coming again.

Grow taller grass:

Due to their aggressive nature, geese are always meticulous about any sort of threat, so they prefer to live in open places, so they could be aware of any predators. Growing taller grass would cause a threat to geese and they will leave that place due to fear of being caught or attacked.

Keeping dogs:

Dogs could also be utilized to scare the geese away from your place, but they should be properly trained to only scare them away and not to attack or prey them.

Installing bright and colorful objects:

Geese don't like bright or colorful objects rather they are afraid of them and see them as a thread. Installing such objects like; colorful balloons or pennants could scare the geese away from your place.

Final thoughts:
No doubt, scarring the geese away could be a difficult task but following the above-mentioned measures accurately would be helpful in doing so, and if all of these measures are brought into action at once, they would produce more effective results and limits the problem in a short span.
